Hardline Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani called the attack a “murderous assault” on the Kashmiri drivers.
After the AIIMS row, the spiralling controversy over the truck attack has pitted Kashmir against Jammu. While calling for a shutdown on Monday, the separatists also demanded the opening of the Muzaffarabad road for trade.
Hardline Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani called the attack a “murderous assault” on the Kashmiri drivers.
“The Udhampur terrorist attack by the RSS backed goons is an eye opener for the pro-Indian people of the state. The attack is an attempt to damage the economic condition of the Kashmir on the pattern of the 2008 economic blockade,” said Geelani.
The Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation has also called for a shutdown on Monday. “It is a brazen attempt to hurt and cause disruption of peace and progress of the state. The government needs to appreciate ramifications of such incidents and mere owning the responsibility to bear the medical expenses of injured is not the remedy,” said Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industries.
